Now Offering “Open-Independent” Indoor Project Competitions

Expo Front

As Porterville Fair celebrates 67 years this May 14-18, it has widened the eligibility parameters for indoor arts, crafts, photography and more.

By popular demand 2014 will usher in a new era for many talented persons in the community. “We have received numerous requests over the years from young and old alike that would like to showcase their craft(s) at the Fair and have not had the opportunity because they were not a member of a FFA Chapter or a 4-H Club.”, said Susie Godfrey, Porterville Fair manager. “This year we are offering that opportunity!”

Persons 6-126 are invited to enter departments including clothing, foods, ornamental horticulture, fine arts, arts & crafts, home furnishings and photography.

There are several divisions within each department which immensely broadens each department heading. Each division will be broken into three classes; JUNIOR-OPEN: 6 – 11 YEARS, INTERMEDIATE-OPEN: 12 – 19 YEARS, and SENIOR-OPEN: 20 YEARS AND ABOVE. Items will be proudly displayed in the Expo. Building for the run of the 2014 Fair.

Placement ribbons and rosettes will be awarded. Entry forms and Exhibitor fees must be delivered to the Fair office no later than 4:00 PM, April 18, 2014 or postmarked by April 18, 2014.
