Heritage Association Gearing Up For Fair

The Porterville Fair Heritage Association has been busy getting ready for the 2019 Porterville Fair. In addition to the Heritage Animal to be shown and auctioned, the Association will again be hosting the Heritage Lounge for the duration of the Fair. The Lounge will have a full bar, a private outside patio, as well as snacks. Appetizers will be served each evening, and a “Buyer’s Brunch” will be served from 8 to 10 AM on Saturday. Fair guests will be offered the option of purchasing value packages, which will include access to the Heritage Lounge for those age 21 or older. 




  Willow Werlhof is honored to be the recipient of the Heritage Animal and Scholarship for the 2019 Porterville Fair. Willow is currently a senior at the E.A.T. Pathway at Strathmore HIgh School. She is planning to attend Colorado State University in the fall of 2019. Willow will be majoring in Equine Science as well as taking Pre-Vet courses. She has been involved in 4-H for nine years and FFA for four years. She has held many leadership positions throughout the years including; Project Leader, Reporter, Secretary, Vice President, and President. Willow is currently the President of Prairie Center 4-H as well as the Vice President of Strathmore FFA. This year at the Porterville Fair Willow will be showing her horses, two of her own market hogs; Betty and Sandy, as well as Frenchy the Heritage Hog. In her spare time she shows her horses competitively across the state. Willow will take Frenchy across the action block at the 2019 Jr. Livestock Auction at noon,. Saturday May 18th. All proceeds from the sale of the hog will dedicated to reducing the construction debt of the new Porterville Fairgrounds. Make sure to come on out and BID FOR THE KID!

The mission of the Porterville Fair Heritage Association is to ensure growth and viability for youth related educational programs, exhibits, and future projects needed at the fairgrounds.  The Heritage Association is dedicated to supporting the Porterville Fair so that it may continue to to be an exemplary multi-use community resource.
