Porterville Fair

LIVESTOCK SALES INFORMATION & FORMS

The Livestock Sale starts at 9:00 am on Saturday the 19th of May in the Livestock Barn. Each year 4-H and FFA exhibitors raise, groom and prepare their projects for the Porterville Fair in hopes of garnering the coveted Grand Champion Award, but also hoping to recover the expenses involved in raising an animal. For many of the exhibitors, the money raised from the sale of their steer, hog, lamb, rabbit or other small animal is earmarked for college expenses, for some seed money for the next project or simply to recover their costs. For each, the lessons learned from raising and caring for their animals is an invaluable asset that helps to prepare them for future leadership roles in the community.
